Position Summary:
Works as a team member to serve WIC clients in the YK Delta. Initiates WIC certification for participants in the WIC office and offsite in village clinics. Collects certification documents, completes data entry, creates and updates files, faxes and copies program materials. In charge of monthly mailings and warrant printing. Explains program benefits and rules to clients. Ensure clients receive nutrition education as required. Provides health and nutrition assessment of height, weight, and hemoglobin. Keeps inventory and orders supplies. Function as a team member on other duties as assigned.
