Responsibilities

This position is responsible for accurately and efficiently completing assigned tasked with archival preschool classroom video data and child/teacher language samples. Tasks will include using language schemes to add language markers to transcripts and video recordings from preschool classrooms. Additionally, employees will be trained to identify and mark teacher/child conversational interactions within videos. The qualified candidate will be provided training and expected to carry out tasks as trained and in accordance with the administration manual. The qualified candidate will also need to pass a reliability phase to carry out project tasks. Candidates are responsible for the careful use of university equipment. Candidates must honor confidentiality. Candidates will maintain contact with supervisors on a regular basis and follow project requirements.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Punctual, adaptable, flexible, and willing to work up to 20 hours a week through June 2024.

Reliable transportation and a cell phone for communication.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in education, Psychology, or Communication Sciences. Familiarity with SALT software. Familiarity with language transcripts. Prior experience in the early childhood setting. Experience with educational research. Experience with language schemes.

Anticipated Salary Range

Starting salary for this position will be $13 - $16/hour.
