Visiting Assistant Professor of Computer Science

Kenyon College seeks to fill a two-year visiting position at the assistant professor level in the Interdisciplinary Program in Computing beginning July 2024. A Ph.D. in Computer Science is preferred, but ABD's will be considered. Prior teaching experience at a U.S. college or university or an equivalent institution is strongly preferred. We are hiring this for this position so that we can expand our computer science offerings as part of our growing interdisciplinary program in computing - a program that embraces computing in many disciplinary areas across the College. The typical teaching load is five courses per year. Kenyon has a strong commitment to student-centered learning; thus, we will be particularly interested in candidates with experience in active learning techniques. All areas of specialty will be considered.

Compensation and Benefits

Salaries at Kenyon are competitive and are commensurate with experience. There are a number of faculty development opportunities (e.g. travel, research funds, etc.) for which appointees are eligible.
