Valparaiso University invites applications for the position of Visiting Assistant Professor, in our CACREP-accredited master's degree program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. https://www.valpo.edu/psychology/academics/graduate-programs/m-a-in-clinical-mental-health-counseling/. The position will begin August 2023.

Located one hour southeast of Chicago on a 310-acre campus, Valpo is a comprehensive university with an enrollment of approximately 3,000 undergraduate and graduate students. The successful candidate will have earned a doctorate in Counseling, Counselor Education and Supervision, or have been teaching in a CACREP-accredited program since 2013. Candidates who are ABD will also be considered. The visiting professor will teach courses in our core CACREP curriculum which may include: Counseling Processes, Introduction to Psychopathology, Human Development, and Practicum and Internship (typically with a 24-credit teaching load for the academic year). Additional research and campus citizenship opportunities will be available. Candidates should have their mental health practitioner license (or be license eligible) in the state of Indiana.
