Calling all Veterinary School Students! Come join our Hospital Team this summer, earn some income, and be a part of VCA's Veterinary Student Summer Experience!

In this paid position, you will work alongside our experienced doctors, technicians/assistants and support staff to provide the best medical care and customer service to our patients and clients. The role functions as a Veterinary Assistant so you can work on technical skills and medical knowledge while also expanding on communication skills and learning more about the veterinary profession. Each student participating in the program will be assigned a Doctor Advisor for case discussion and an inside look to the daily fun and excitement of being a practicing small animal veterinarian.

In addition to functioning as a Veterinary Assistant, you will have the opportunity to pick a patient and create a case report from intake, workup and diagnosis to treatment plan and follow up. You will also have access to VCA programs and technology including Woofware, Woof University, Shelter Partnerships, Telemedicine, VCA Apps and Continuing Education. The Veterinary Student Summer Associate position is open to current veterinary school students enrolled in an accredited veterinary university. Applicants should be authorized to work in the US and available for 8 to 12 weeks during the summer months. Scheduling determined per location.
