Use your culinary skills to serve individuals in the Western Massachusetts community on the road to recovery from addiction!

Join our team of competent and compassionate professionals as a Cook in the Hope Centerprogram at Behavioral Health Network!

**NOTICE**

In accordance with the BHN Mandatory COVID vaccine policy - all staff, interns, temps, residents and contractors are required to be fully vaccinated no later than day one of employment. Medical or religious exemptions will be offered and must be approved prior to starting work.

The same guidelines noted above apply during flu season (defined as December 1st - through end of flu season as announced by the CDC) for BHN's Mandatory Influenza Vaccine policy.

Additionally, BHN is a Tobacco Free workplace. All Staff, interns, temps, residents and contractors agree not to smell of or use Tobacco or ENDS products while on paid work time or within sight of any BHN facility.

Your experience, knowledge and great skills will support the Greenfield Substance Use Recovery programs with the following:

  • Adhering to kitchen compliance standards set by the Department of Public Health
  • Maintaining a clean and sanitary food preparation environment.
  • Ordering food, planning menus, and preparing nutritious and healthy meals for the individuals served using clear and appropriate communication to all parties.
  • Transporting food to other sites, as needed.
  • Maintaining their ServSafe certification.
  • Learning how to work independently, manage a food budget, do menu planning, and maintain a kitchen to DPH standards and regulations.

What are we looking for in a Cook?
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent (preferred).
  • Food preparation experience in a program (preferred).
  • ServSafe certification (preferred).
  • Valid Driver's License (required).
  • Commitment to client empowerment and growth, human rights, and community integration.
  • Familiarity with internet, word processing and email systems (required).
  • In successful recovery for two or more years (if applicable).
