Position Summary...

What you'll do...

Walmart Global Technology is hiring a Director, Product Management with a successful record of defining long-term vision and product strategy for multiple product families by collaborating to develop long-term corporate financial goals. Part of Core Services Retail and Emerging Technology Team, you will be responsible for deep analytics, management and leadership, and influencing product strategy. You will join a high-performing team seeking others who will challenge us to become better. You will make impact by:

  • Developing and delivering financial plan for area of responsibility. Capitalizing on domain expertise and leveraging internal and external best practices and standards to drive decision making.
  • Identifying and anticipating market opportunities based on an in-depth understanding of the market and competition. Overseeing the execution of competitive assessments and driving innovation
  • Approving business cases and prioritizing and allocating resources and approving objectives and key performance indicators. Developing and enhancing multiple product families by identifying and adopting emerging technology. Collaborating with senior leadership for alignment between roadmap and business strategies and developing and managing roadmaps across products
  • Navigating ambiguous business challenges and identifying high impact and return on investment opportunities. Turning customer insights into actionable priorities and initiatives and drawing insights from benchmark studies and industry leaders to inform roadmaps and strategies
  • Overseeing development of user and business acceptance criteria and product roll out strategy including, managing risks and dependencies and prioritizing product backlog. Also, fostering collaborative relationships with key partners (i.e., business leaders, User Experience, Engineering, Analytics) by driving priorities across business pillars and role modeling transparency
  • Communicating product roadmaps and priorities and collaborating across product areas for roadmap prioritization including, engaging with key partners to determine the best product and business strategies and gaining buy-in from executive-level leadership.
  • Provide overall direction by analyzing business objectives and customer needs and developing, communicating, building support for, and implementing, business strategies, plans and practices
  • Analyzing costs and forecasts and incorporating them into business plans. Determining and supporting resource requirements; evaluating operational processes; measuring outcomes to ensure desired results; and, identifying and capitalizing on improvement opportunities as/where required
  • Promoting customer environment, demonstrating adaptability, and sponsoring continuous learning.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to attract and maintain highly skilled and engaged workforce including, diagnosing capability gaps; recruiting, selecting, developing talent; supporting mentorship; workforce development; succession planning; leveraging capabilities of talent
  • Cultivating an environment where associates respect, and adhere, to company standards of integrity and ethics by way of integrating these values into all programs and practices; developing consequences for violations or non-compliance; and, supporting the Open-Door Policy
  • Developing and leveraging internal and external partnerships and networks to maximize the achievement of business goals by way of sponsoring and leading key community outreach and involvement initiatives; and engaging key stakeholders in development, execution, and evaluation of appropriate business plans and initiatives; and supporting associate efforts in these areas.

product management or related field OR 8 years' experience in product management or related field.
2 years' experience building and leading high performing teams.
4 years' experience leading cross-functional teams.
