Job Description

Our Warden-Washington plant, located just outside of Moses Lake near a variety of outdoor recreational activities (hiking/fishing/water recreation), produces a variety of products including French Fries, Hash Browns, Puffs, and Patties, for retail clients, restaurants, and food services customers globally.

Our Trimers/Inspectors are key players on our team, responsible for ensuring that only the highest quality of Lamb Weston potatoes and potato products reach our worldwide clients and customers. This is a great entry-level role that can grow into a variety of food processing or plant positions for the right candidate including General Labor positions and Sanitation Technicians.

• Ensure the product leaving the trim area is free from defects and all foreign material.
  
• Remove waste products (vines/sprouts/rocks) from trim conveyor and trim all defects from potatoes in an efficient manner to effectively minimize waste.
  
• Help to ensure the quality of the product meets Lamb Weston standards by inspecting raw or processed products and removing undesirable potatoes from trim conveyor
  
• Report any malfunction of food processing equipment to the Process Operator, Lead, or Team Leader.
  
• Work in environments with temperature/humidity extremes, which may also include wearing a wet suit and using cleaning chemicals in a safe manner.
  
• Remove waste products including vines, sprouts, rocks, etc. from trim conveyor.
  
• Keep work area clean and perform other functions as directed.
  
• Follow company policies, procedures, and maintain a safe work environment at all times.
  

Job Qualifications

• Must be able to work & train on any shift while maintaining a good attendance record.
  
• Must be able to communicate, comprehend, and follow instructions in English (both written and oral).
  
• Must possess sufficient eye/hand coordination to manipulate raw product and utilize trim knives to maintain a minimum trim rate of 16 potatoes per minute.
  
• Must be able to work over a moving conveyor without experiencing motion sickness.
  
• Must be able to climb stairs, ladders, and stand for long periods of time.
  
• Must be able to work in environments with temperature extremes and environments that include humid conditions, including wet, oily, and slippery floors.
