SUMMARY

Working with general supervision, the Treasury Analyst will be responsible for driving all activities necessary to process and oversee cash operations. This role will be the main point of contact with accounting, A/R, audit, and other internal departments. This role will oversee the daily cash, store depository bank relations, control functions related to banking operations, and special projects. This role requires maintaining knowledge of bank policies, audit requests, and ensuring departmental compliance with all. Associate may interact with his or her supervisor several times a week, perhaps daily, to receive guidance and feedback. Some non-routine activities may require a supervisor's advance approval.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.*

  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of cash operations
  • Meet cash/banking operational standards by contributing information to strategic plans and review; productivity, quality, and customer service standards, resolving problems and identifying system improvements
  • Manage and comply with all month end closing processes and procedures as it relates to treasury
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors
  • Support management by providing timely and accurate deposit and account standing information
  • Provide direction to team in order to resolve issues with outstanding deposits, research and reporting out to other departments
  • Investigate and resolve customer queries
  • Monitor all store depository accounts
  • Assist with the setup and maintenance of armored card and night drop agreements
  • Work closely with accounting to ensure all fees and variances are recorded properly

BASIC AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE)

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from and accredited 4-year college or university in Accounting or Finance strongly preferred; Master of Business Administrator and /or CTP certification a plus
  • At least 2 to 4 years of experience required
  • Previous Treasury Management System utilization; Treasury and supervisory experience a plus
  • Hands-on experience with online banking platforms required; Cash management, banking, experience with a multi-national Fortune 500 Company with retail and multi-unit operations preferred

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, JOB SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • Must be able to work extended, non-traditional hours as needed during peak periods, such as month-end or year-end reporting periods
  • Expert knowledge of all phases of bank accounts and structure
  • Proficient knowledge of office computer platforms and applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Ability to enter, retrieve, analyze, recognize discrepancies, organize, and report electronic financial data
  • Ability to initiate and respond to work errors in a professional manner, working collaboratively and cooperatively with others
  • Detail oriented and effective at researching issues and problem solving
  • Proficient project planning skills, including the ability to organize, prioritize and control job responsibilities in order to meet deadlines in an environment with overlapping and potentially conflicting priorities
  • Ability to comprehend and adhere to all GameStop policies, including those related to scheduling and attendance, confidentiality, conflict of interest, and honesty and ethical conduct
  • Understand and accurately follow policies, procedures and controls
  • Ability to analyze and comprehend multiple reports
