Compensation Range
Hourly: $37.75 - $44.70 (Amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.)

About the Job

The main purpose of this job is to provide fixed income trading, operational and administrative services to the Commercial Tradable Products (CTP) team.

Essential Functions

• Collaborate with Commercial Tradable Products (CTP) trading staff to handle the trading, support, and operational functions necessary to provide high quality customer service to the CTP salesforce, operations staff and Commerce Bank customers
  
• Become familiar with the products traded within CTP and effectively execute customer orders
  
• Coordinate and manage municipal bond underwritings and selling groups
  
• Provide a high comfort level for the sales and trading staff to ensure that orders and transactions are handled timely and accurately.
  
• Execute trades and handle operational items that arise as a part of the normal course of business within the CTP trading team
  
• Maintain written and verbal communication with customers, vendors, team members, and trading counterparties.
  
• Perform other duties as assigned
  

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

• Thorough knowledge of the fixed income industry
  
• General knowledge of economics including behavior of interest rates related to various market events
  
• Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  
• Inquisitive, agile, and strong team player with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  
• Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
  
• Experience with Bloomberg and Bloomberg TOMS preferred
  
• Basic level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook
  

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  
• 0-3 years trading experience required
  
• Series 7 or 52; & 63 License required

A reasonable estimate of the current base pay is $37.75 to $44.70 per hour. This position will be eligible for additional compensation through performance-based incentive plan(s) that will correspond to meeting performance goals.
