Job Description

Position Title: Telecom Analyst SME/ Materials Coordinator

Company: Duke Energy

Contract/Perm: 12 months

Start Date: 5/30/22

Work Location: St. Pete - hybrid role. 20% travel (this includes tracking down materials and bringing them to site locations. This will not be a constant 20% travel but more as needed)

Reason for Need:

• Need assistance to track down materials as Duke is experiencing supply chain issues with equipment.

Education Requirement: Bachelors degree or combination of education plus equivalent work experience.

Top Skills:

• Bachelors degree OR 5 years related work experience (scheduler, materials coordinator, inventory)
• Good Communication skills and collaboration skills. In this role you will be partnering with Implementation Coordinators and Vendors.
• Experiencing working with Excel Spreadsheets. Ability to manipulate data in excel - hundreds of lines of data.

Plus Skills:

• Utilities experience is a plus**
• Must be able to read, comprehend, inspect, calculate, and retain information.
• Ability to work under high stress situations and be available for emergency response as required.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for developing plans to facilitate work execution.
• Must be able to climb ladders and stairs at various heights, enter vessels or equipment with limited access and walk, stoop, bend, or squat on an as needed basis. This is more a warehouse type environment.
• Verify that materials and resources are available to execute work plans.
• Facilitate process improvements to make work plans more productive and cost efficient.
• Communicate with supervisors and equipment experts to ensure job plants are up to date and that work is being prioritized properly.
• Working with IC's out in the field and dealing with vendors.
• Analyzing resources (time, tools, & materials) necessary for efficient completion of job.
• Research, plan, and improve upon work orders to meet station availability and reliability goals
• Work to develop aggressive job plans that factor in past lessons and process improvements
• Supports outage planning process
• Supports safety and environmental program compliance
