Beacon Hill Legal's client, a financial institution located in Midtown Manhattan is seeking an experienced compliance legal counsel for a year long contract position. This role will provide legal support to the company's US broker dealer and swap dealer entities' equities and fixed income business lines. This position will begin remote but will return to in-person work in September. All candidates submitting a resume must be able to commute daily to Midtown Manhattan.

Responsibilities include:

• Prepare reports for various regulatory initiatives
• Gather and extract information from MRAs, GMRAs, MSLAs, GMSLAs, ISDAs, CDEAs, MCAs, and other trading agreements.
• Respond to inquiries from business units and other departments (trading/marketing, credit, operations, collateral management, documentation)
• Update Trading Documentation systems to reflect status of negotiations and to capture information from negotiated agreements

Requirements

Law degree from an accredited law school

Member in good standing of the New York Bar

Ability to commute daily to Midtown Manhattan
