JOB SUMMARY

The Manufacturing Technician III consistently works on complex high-end product line assignments requiring independent action. This position contributes to the development of concepts and techniques on the manufacturing floor and requires a high degree of initiative. This level requires experience with several product lines. To develop to this level a technician must develop a broad understanding of our business and show a strong commitment to our products and customers. Our goal for shipping TSI equipment is 100% correct (equipment meets performance specifications) and 100% on-time. This position will be responsible for TSI new, service and sales inventory equipment repair, check out and test.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Determine methods and procedures for new assignments.

Assist Engineering with designing solutions to equipment failures.

Formulate, write, and test checkout procedures

Translate procedures into a Visio software format.

Act as a technical resource as part of a new product development team.

Provide high level technical assistance to internal and external customers as needed.

Assist the Sales Support Group meet customer needs.

Maintain a clean and safe work area.

Train other technicians on procedures and equipment.

Follow all safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions to supervisor.

Complete other assignments and special projects as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

2-year Electronic technical certificate is required. 2-year Electronic Technology AA degree is desired.

Experience

• Requires all the skills and experience needed at the Manufacturing Technician II level.
  
• Translating procedures into a Visio software format.
  

KNOWLEDGE

• Deep understanding of TSI products and instruments on a larger scale.
  
• Advanced knowledge of electronic test equipment ie. Oscilloscope, VOM and other test equipment.
  
• Advanced knowledge of electronic components and their usage in electronic circuits.
