Your role:

An exciting new opportunity has arisen to join the company as a Technical Manager for the Field Technology Management team. Based on a strong understanding of current and anticipated business needs the Technical Manager will implement a structure for the team to meet core scientific and regulatory needs of our customer base.

The Technical Manager will manage a well-established regional scientific team and provide additional supporting technical expertise with a view to ensure suitable management of customer expectations. This position will manage personnel and also, be responsible for recruitment, performance evaluation and budgeting.

This role will work with key other functions in the organization who support and provide scientific information. In this role it will be necessary to advise and interact with senior management and serve as a key point of contact globally.

The Technical Manager will have technical knowledge in the biopharmaceutical industry which will enable support to clients and team members where appropriate. The new Technical Manager will perform duties independently whilst working in collaboration with wider Global Field Technology Management Team, Global Development Services, Operations, Sales & Marketing, Regulatory Management and Quality Assurance.

Who you are:

Minimum requirements

  • Ph.D. in Life Science or related discipline
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in biologics manufacturing or equivalent
  • Experience in personnel management
  • Experience within a regulated environment and ability to interact effectively with industry partners and regulatory agencies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills in English

Preferred requirements
  • Strong interpersonal experience with a demonstrated ability to lead and influence teams and individuals
  • Ability to effectively communicate and build working relationships with internal teams/customer
  • Willingness to travel approximately 30% of time. Some international travel required
