Summary

Zoetis is seeking a motivated, customer-focused individual that has a varied information technology background to work across platforms to provide Document Management Services included but not limited to Application Administration/configuration, Web Development, and Systems Integration. This position will be a hybrid systems development and analyst role. Responsibilities will include a broad range of tasks, including requirements gathering, analysis, solution design/development, software installation/configuration, qualification/validation, and administration/support. The ability to shift from role to role, the desire to be hands-on and help diagnose situations to build solutions, and the agility to learn and adapt your skills to fit the needs of the organization will be a key to success. Strong technical expertise, customer engagement, relationship management, and communication skills are a must.

Responsibilities

Client Focus and Strategic Assessment

  • Develop solutions that drive effective service delivery and enable revenue growth and profitability for the company
  • Deploy appropriate internal and external controls to deliver Content Management solutions and systems integrations that ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and provide business continuity 24x7
  • Self-motivated, quick learner with a "roll up your sleeves" approach and ability to lead initiatives involving Veeva Vault applications
  • Perform business system analysis and process definition in a collaborative manner with process owners and global users to identify needs and opportunities for improved data and application usage
  • Understanding of IT systems, security, databases, and enterprise architecture
  • Understanding of life sciences content management principles, types, and taxonomies
  • Understanding of life sciences compliance requirements as related to CFR Title 21 Part 11 requirements, FDA regulated environments, industry practices on computer validation, and regulatory requirements of computerized systems
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written skills

Service Definition, Solution Development, and Application Support
  • Proactively identify opportunities to provide technology-based solutions that promote efficiency, compliance, and seamless integration
  • Build and exercise subject matter expertise in Enterprise Content Management (ECM) and its related technologies, offering best practices, process improvements, and technical solutions to our corporate clients
  • Demonstrated ability to understand current state business processes and work with business to design efficient and effective business processes
  • Develop code integrating with other applications and data sources as necessary
  • Draft all required SDLC and validation documents including creation of test plans and report test results
  • Investigate and resolve complex production support problems by identifying issues and recommending, and when approved, implementing solutions and escalation as necessary
  • Administer and configure Veeva Vault application(s) and remain current on past and future functional releases
  • Develop, deploy and continually enhance integrated, standardized solutions and services for the company, including:
    • Installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of computer systems as required
    • Development (software customizations and configuration) and implementation of systems and integrations, both third-party and custom
    • Participate in Computer System Validation activities
    • Creation of standards, roadmaps, and policies that drive the operation of the team's services
    • Project and task management, including management of vendor resources as required
    • On-call and off-hours support for systems and deployment activities as required
  • Excellent planning, organization and time management skills including the ability to support and prioritize multiple projects

Architecture, Delivery, and Support
  • Contribute to and help maintain the enterprise application architecture. Ensure adherence to standards and polices for Document Management Services components, and integration between related system, application, and infrastructure architectures.
  • Assist in the creation, maintenance and communication of the Zoetis Document Management services and other related technology architecture(s), including relevant design and technology standards
  • Collaboration with Zoetis' other infrastructure and solutions teams to monitor, manage, perform systems maintenance/enhancement and deployment coordination.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant technical or business field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 2-3+ years of progressive experience in the following areas:
    • Recent, relevant implementation/configuration/customization and support of Veeva Vault or similar (Documentum, FirstDocs) Document Management software applications
    • An understanding of the basic business processes that these systems support
    • Extracting and translating business requirements to a functional design, prototype, or demo in the interest of driving to a consensus solution
    • Utilizing software development methodologies such as formal SDLC processes
    • Support of a validated computer systems environment, including creation and execution of documentation to support installation qualification, testing, and change management processes
    • Understanding of IT Infrastructure and the associated lifecycle/processes: Architecture, Design and Operations
    • Experience within the life sciences industry (pharma/animal health) or similarly regulated business desired

Technical Skills
  • Knowledge of Document Management administration, configuration, migration tools, and methodologies using Veeva Vault or similar (Documentum, FirstDocs)
  • Strong troubleshooting and remediation skills, including root cause analysis, identification of alternatives and workarounds, impact analysis, data remediation
  • Understanding of system integrations using third-party API's and libraries
  • Understanding of relational databases and data warehouses such as Microsoft SQL Server
  • Knowledge of operating systems, relational database architectures, query languages and interface, standard programming environments, data integration tools, application integration solutions, and web-based information solutions
  • Web Application programming & development with the ability to design, build, and support technologies including:
    • Java,Python, PowerShell, .NET (C#), Web Services (MVC, MVVM), XML, Database packages, J2EE Application Servers and relational databases (SQL Server)
  • Other relevant development technologies & source control:
    • JavaScript,Drupal, PHP, etc.
    • GIT, GitHub, Microsoft Team Foundation Server, etc.
