The Schedule Planning Manager is responsible for analyzing, maintaining and scheduling plant orders while managing the scheduling department.

· Management and coordination of daily activities in the scheduling department.

· Ensure company policies and procedures are followed.

· Develop processes to enhance performance of the scheduling department.

· Ensure department employees are receiving proper training to be successful.

· Analyzing all orders to ensure they are scheduled to meet production.

· Update daily reports.

· Plan daily schedules to maximize productivity while meeting shipping requirements.

· Work closely with department supervisors, managers, and our corporate location to resolve issues.

· Work with Purchasing to ensure material needed is available.

· Create reports and brief management on delivery status versus customer due dates.

· Identify schedule risks, including manufacturing lead times, raw material lead times, department capacity, labor capacity, rush orders, drop-ins or others issues that impact the schedule.

· Monitor actual output versus the master production plan, identifying gaps and corrective actions.

· Identify and promptly respond to changes in schedule that could impact the company’s ability to meet customer requirements and on-time delivery.

· Participate in Cause and Corrective Action exercises to drill down on scheduling issues.

· Provide Leadership for cross-functional teams to resolve issues related to bottlenecks, shortages, capacity, labor or repairs.

· Other duties as assigned by General Manager.

· Expert at comprehending complex scheduling demands, prioritizing effectively, resolving conflict and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

· Must be able to determine root cause analysis and troubleshoot issues.

· Must be Quality minded.

· Must be able to perform and meet established goals in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

· Strict attention to detail is a must.

· Must be a Team Player with a positive attitude.

· Must be able to work with minimum supervision.

· Must be able to lead by example.

· Must have your own reliable transportation.

· Must be able to sit, stand and walk for long periods at a time.

· Must be able to work Weekends and Overtime.

· Must be available after working hours as needed for phone calls, conferences and emergency management.

· Must be reliable.

· Must be able to carry out duties assigned under the Emergency Preparedness Plan.

· Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications and computer technology. Must have a strong working knowledge of Excel and Excel Pivot tables.

· Must have strong English language skills, including:

o Reading

o Comprehending

o Speaking

o Writing

o Communication

· Bachelor degree preferred or 5+ years’ experience in forcasting, scheduling and planning.

· Minimum of (2) two years’ experience managing a department is required.

· Must adhere to all Safety rules and requirements and take adequate control measures to prevent injuries to yourself and others.

· Must enforce Safety rules and requirements with each employee.

· Must be able to wear the following required PPE:

o Safety Glasses

o Closed Toe / Heal shoes

Working conditions are the normal conditions found in a furniture plant, ventilated indoor area.

· Concrete floor

· Heated and Cooled working Environment

· General Office Setting

Must be authorized to work in the United States.

One location in Conover, NC.

· Typical schedule is Monday – Friday from 8a – 4:30pm.

· You must be able to work Overtime, and Weekends as needed.
