CBIZ and Mayer Hoffman McCann, P.C. has an immediate opening for a Tax Quality Assurance Director.

The Tax Quality AssuranceDirector will assist the Tax Department in the following areas:

• Monitor adherence to best practices in tax compliance
• Increase efficiency and timeliness of compliance function
• Schedule compliance work and deploy resources to their highest and best use
• Develop and manage individual development plans for the tax staff
• Develop, coordinate and lead tax technical training
• Assist with detailed compliance review
• Understand and maximize various tax software platforms utilized

Education/Skills/Experience:

• BA or BS in Accounting, Finance or Business preferred
• MST preferred
• CPA certification required
• 8+ years of tax compliance experience within a public accounting firm
• Comprehensive tax consulting experience and demonstrated expertise in taxation and knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulation
• An ability to effectively present information and appropriately respond to questions from clients and team members
• A track record of successful new business development experience a plus
• Excellent analytical, supervisory, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills necessary
• Experience and continued interest in developing and mentoring junior team members
• Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook and Excel required.
• Experience with ProSystem FX Engagement preferred
• Ability to travel as required by business

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• 8 years of experience in public accounting or related field
• 6 years of supervisory experience
• Must have active CPA or equivalent certification
