YETI is looking for a Systems Engineer to help work through the ever-changing IT infrastructure requirements of an evolving company. The Systems Engineer will be responsible for managing YETI's physical and virtual systems. The current systems stack consists of workloads in Azure, GCP and on-premise converged technology. The Systems Engineer will be a key contributor in leveraging the currently implemented systems technologies and enhancing related processes and procedures. The Systems Engineer will be responsible for constantly evaluating the systems to recommend enhancements and upgrades as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the administration, installation, configuration, maintenance and support of systems and related monitoring systems to ensure stable performance
• Deploy and manage Windows and Linux virtual and physical servers, backups and various third party applications; provide administration and support for these applications
• Maintain communications with in-house staff, contract staff, and vendors regarding all aspects of company projects from inception through hardware/software installation, and any interfacing needs
• Assist with the day-to-day operations of all business-critical systems within the Corporate Office and retail locations by monitoring system performance, configuration, maintenance, and repair
• Ensure that records of system downtime and hardware inventory are properly maintained and applies revisions to host system firmware and software
• Work with vendors to assist support activities related to hosting systems (SAP, MES, and Salesforce)
• Develop new system and application implementation plans, custom scripts, and testing procedures to ensure operational reliability and IT efficiency
• Train technical staff to use new software and hardware developed and/or acquired
• Perform systems and software troubleshooting as required. As such, leads problem-solving efforts often involving outside vendors and other support personnel and/or organizations
• Establish guidelines and methods for the installation and management of the host computer operating systems, disk arrays, network switching and routing, backup strategies and other components
• Ensure high availability and acceptable levels of performance of mission critical host computer resources
• Engage with IT security to implement system-level security measures to protect data, software, and hardware
• Maintain and improve enterprise backup and recovery solution to ensure proper data retention and preparation in the event of a disaster
• Design, configure, and test server hardware, virtualization hardware and operating system software
• Stay current with technological developments in systems administration technology and recommends ways for company to take advantage of new technology
• Prepare reports or correspondence concerning project statuses and policies/procedures

Qualifications and Attributes:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent work experience
• At least 4 years of progressive hands on systems implementation and administration experience within the Information Technology Field
• Extensive experience in the administration of public cloud technologies (Azure/GCP) and data center operations to include hardware/software implementation, VPN tunnels, VDI, MDM/MAM, etc.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft technologies such as Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, IIS, License Management, Powershell, PKI, SQL, and Trust Relationships
• Experience with Microsoft Intune and autopilot for deployment/co-management of assets
• Experience with IT Security to include anti-virus, mail security, IDS/IPS systems, etc.
• In-depth knowledge of networking principles in support of multiple internal customer projects
• Effectively interfaces with internal and external customers to understand business requirements and to help customers understand and leverage technology
• Proven ability to deliver quality projects within tight deadlines
• Ability to identify and troubleshoot complex problems, then develop/evaluate/implement solutions
• Ability to interact with others in a professional, tactful, and sensitive manner
• Detail oriented and organized with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team
• Prior work with iOS device management platforms (JAMF/Kandji)
• In-depth knowledge and broad experience in VMWare and other virtualization technologies (Hyper-V, Microsoft WVD, etc.) which includes design, implementation, and administration
• Experience with Linux server administration (including AD integration) and shell scripting
• Effectively leverage Microsoft Configuration Manager/SCCM (including CM platform installations and upgrades) for vulnerability management of servers/endpoints and imaging/asset deployment efforts
• Experience with developing and implementing proactive monitoring/alerting for critical infrastructure components
• Experience with a Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment platform such as Azure DevOps
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation/configuration management tools preferred
• Familiarity with ServiceNow for ticketing and incident management
