Our client is looking for two Systems Engineers to join them at the start of January 2023. We are looking for a strong Linux systems engineering background, but also someone who has dabbled in the DevOps realm with CI/CD or tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, Kubernetes, or Docker. You will be responsible for assisting the operations of a lab environment, so your customers are the engineers on this team actually working in the lab. The team is currently completing a migration from one AWS sub account to another AWS sub account, and they are halfway through that migration so they are looking for engineers to add immediate value there. Team player, excellent communication skills, and a great attitude are needed for this team.

Requirements
- 2+ years of Systems Engineering experience in a Linux environment
- Containerization or CI/CD Experience - Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, GitLab
- AWS experience

Plusses:
- Automation experience
- Python experience (lightweight validation)
- Database experience (Mongo, Kafka, Cassandra)

Day to Day/Project:
- Working in lab environment - mirrors the production environment
- Right now they are doing migration from one AWS sub account to another AWS sub account
- The team is halfway through that migration
- Deploying microservices before the production team implements those microservices
- There are 120 microservices this team takes care of
- Use Jira ticketing
- Goes through Dev Test, then Integration Test, then reaches this team
- Heavy troubleshooting work
- Need to understand new features - being an expert at CI/CD
- If any architecture changes, the team will also get involved
