Minimum Qualifications:

Associate Degree/Technical Certificatesplus 4 years of experience, or a bachelor's degree plus 2 years of experiencein a related field. Experience must include knowledge of networking, systemsadministration, design, and support activities in multi-user networkenvironments (i.e. Active directory knowledge, Cisco IOS, ArubaOS, VMWare, andOffice 365). System Administration experience must include Red Hat Linux,Windows Server, and Oracle DB. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectivelywith others and have a customer-oriented attitude.
Preferred Qualifications:

Ellucian Banner administration experience
Red Hat Certified System Administrator
Oracle Certified Associate
Microsoft Certified Associate
Oracle and Microsoft SQL experience
Experience with Cisco CUCM
Experience with VMWare Horizon
Cisco and Aruba networking experience
Okta / SAML SSO experience
5 or more years troubleshooting very complex systems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to explain complex IT concepts in simple terms
Ability to manage multiple concurrent high priority projects. Ability to deal effectively with people in all stages of employment throughout the college
Proven ability to operate in extreme high-pressure situations, meet deadlines, and delegate work to other team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within guidelines
Experience with innovation and working knowledge of cutting-edge technologies such as AI, XR, and VR.



General Function:

The Systems Administrator works under the supervision of the Directorof Technical Operations. The responsibilities include managing and maintaininga web-based queue of tickets assigned and hours billed to show initiative toaddress items based on priority/severity level. Plan, coordinate and implementnetwork/systems security measures that protect data, software and hardware.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues in an efficient and timely manner.
Create and provide innovative solutions to complex technical problems
Demonstrate a high level of organizational skills and the ability to self-manage and prioritize a dynamic workload.
Provide customers with technical assistance and information for all Motlow campuses.
Assist customers through walkthroughs by providing them with step by step instructions.
Attempt to resolve customers' problems by providing them with self-fix guidance.
Look through generated tickets and add resolutions pertaining to information and minor problems.
Windows Server administration
Linux administration. (RedHat)
Oracle DB administration
Network troubleshooting and configuration (Cisco IOS, ArubaOS, Meraki).
Assist in maintenance of server hardware.
Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base articles.
Ability to carry 50 pounds and climb a ladder.
Technical assistance for all users on the Motlow Campuses.
Willingness to work flexible shifts and schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
