Job Description

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Ability to provide on-call support outside of normal business hours
  • Engage immediately all high priority incidents (P1 and P2) and ensure the engagement of other support resources as needed. Work with Innovation, ITOC and other IT support teams in managing production issues and problem tasks effectively.
  • Resolve issues by analyzing system logs, short dumps, locks, developer traces and system traces etc.
  • Ensure all incident Service Level Agreements (SLA's) are achieved.
  • Understand business processes and underlying systems / technologiesand integrated applications
  • Analyze ticket data and identify recurring incidents that require Problem Management analysis and resolution. When assigned problem tasks, manage them actively and drive to timely and permanent resolution. Proactive identification and remediation of issues such as performance, functionality, interface and security issues.
  • Review, approve, and support production changes through the Change Approval Board (CAB) to meet annual change success targets and comply with T2O where applicable.
  • Actively participate as a team member on project teams to ensure T2O for flawless production deployments
  • Work with Innovation and publish KM articles as well as continue to enhance existing KM articles
  • Ensure compliance to GM IT SOX, security policies and practices.
  • Manage system access in a timely manner, both the ACL review process and Galileo Break Glass/PRIME requests
  • Work with appropriate team members towards achieving full automation and eliminate all manual tasks

  • Ability to be proactive and responsive to day-to-day issues while maintaining a strong sense of urgency and focus on delivery to ensure operational stability and service availability for a set of applications
  • Collaborative work style with good communication skills and the ability to work closely with other IT organizations.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Exceptional work ethic with the ability to multi-task under limited supervision
  • Logical / analytical thinker. Ability to reason and think logically, apply judgment, solve complex problems, and implement solutions
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Able to take highly technical discussions to the appropriate level to foster proper understanding to drive decisions and forward progress. Experience effectively communicating messages to all levels of IT and business.
  • Technical writing knowledge around system design specification and ensure that technical documentation update.
  • Skilled at working with IT providers within a highly matrix organization. Ability to set and manage priorities and resolve conflicts across parties
  • Experience with distributed systems, architecture and application support.
  • High level of understanding with key technologies such as: JAVA, Oracle, UNIX/LINUX

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years' experience in IT field with security or operations certification(s) and/or Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or other STEM-related major preferred
  • Experience with performance tuning and troubleshooting
  • Experience with Java programing and scripting languages
  • Familiarity with Oracle & SQL Server environments including database tuning and troubleshooting
  • Working knowledge of IT infrastructure administration, OS, virtualization, and advanced hardware concepts
Education

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience required

Compensation:Please note that the compensation information that follows is a good faith estimate for this position only and is provided pursuant to the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and Equal Pay Transparency Rules. It is estimated based on what a successful Colorado applicant might be paid. Similar positions located outside of Colorado will not necessarily receive the same compensation. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.The median level of salary compensation for this role is $97,980
