Office Survey Technician



DDS Engineering and Surveying, LLP (DDSE), is an experienced and highly qualified natural gas/civil engineering, permitting and survey firm that has been performing consulting engineering and construction services in the natural gas industry for many years. We currently perform these engineering services related to natural gas transmission, distribution main design, station design (M&R, gate stations, and regulator stations) and customer services (residential and commercial) for a variety of natural gas customers throughout the Northeast. Our dynamic team is comprised of experienced natural gas engineers, civil and mechanical engineers, surveyors, gas construction personnel as well as in-house staff expertise in the areas of legal, compliance, and safety. With flexibility in location (NY, PA, MA, CT, RI) our fast-growing energy division is seeking thoughtful and highly motivated individuals to be part of our team.

Due to continued growth, the DDS Companies has openings for an Office Survey Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of services at a rapid pace in the office for the support of utility, construction, & engineering related projects.

Job Qualifications:

Skills and Experience

Required:

• Knowledge of land surveying practices, principles and techniques.
• Familiar with AutoCAD or Carlson Survey Software for drafting and computations.
• Self-starter, highly motivated, and a team player
• Valid NYS Driver's License

Preferred:

• Familiar with boundary, topographic, construction stakeout and monitoring, utility, right-of-way, corridor and existing condition surveys, 3D modeling
• Proficient with Carlson Survey.
• Experience with HDS scanners, UAV drones, or point clouds.
• Two years of related work experience
