Position Overview

This position supports the Global Consumer Acquisition team at NPD. This person will be responsible for managing the life cycle of online marketing research projects for both major and high-growth potential external clients. They are accountable for the success of each project.

Project Specialists will coordinate with internal departments in order to complete the projects on time and within budget while maintaining strict quality and customer satisfaction standards.

Project Specialists have ongoing tracking survey responsibilities in addition to custom projects; responsibilities include change cycles, sampling (daily/weekly/monthly), reporting, billing and cross team communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and implement all online surveys for internal clients; consulting with them on survey design, sampling, field monitoring, quality control and data delivery.
    • Ensures projects are completed on time; meeting/exceeding expectations.
    • Continually monitors project progress, troubleshooting issues and identifying and implementing realistic and cost effect solutions.
    • Escalates and addresses potential issues and challenges in a timely manner.
    • Builds and maintains strong relationships with the client, colleagues and cross-functional peers during the entire project process. Demonstrate understanding and insight of business issues.
    • Effectively communicates project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Acts as a liaison between internal clients and all stakeholder groups.
    • Foster and maintain close working relationships with NPD personnel and offshore programming team in order to execute and monitor projects as well as resolve any issues that may arise while a project is in the field.
  • Learn internal project management tools; setup projects and manages, executes and monitors sample against study requirements on a daily basis.
  • All standard weekly tracker work is executed flawlessly and on schedule
  • Reviews and approves all survey cost inputs for billing to external departments.


Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years' experience
  • Education: Bachelor's degree, degree in Marketing preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.)
  • Project management skills with the demonstrated ability to multi-task across a variety of projects preferred.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Effective communicator (written, verbal)
  • Strong quantitative, analytic and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work well on a team as well as independently
  • Market research background a plus
