The Supply Chain Manager in Brewster will perform supply and inventory planning activities that complement the business strategy, while contributing to transforming the culture into one focused on proactive behaviors that improve performance and productivity. The passion to influence and build relationships is crucial.

In this role the focus will be on optimizing the supply chain environment in Brewster and provide transparency into its performance. This individual will work closely with other plants for best practice sharing and implementation and will focus internally on stabilizing a functional and reliable supply chain.

You Will Have the Opportunity To:

  • Be the single point of contact for the plant's strategy related topics related to Supply Chain. Manages supply vs. demand and allocation decisions in collaboration with Sales and Operations teams related to finished goods that are forecasted for sale; active in S&OP process.
  • Collaborates with the Inventory and Logistics Supervisor and Planning Supervisor in managing the inventory levels at the plant. Ensures days on hand and overall inventory goals are met; actively mitigates risk of excess of stock-out.
  • Owns On-Time Delivery performance, Inventory Turns, and other key performance indicators as requested by plant and division management.
  • Subject matter expert related to SAP process and execution of all supply chain functions end to end, performing analysis and corrections of master data for efficiency increase, and addressing exception based transactional data as needed.
  • Active participant in continuous improvement initiations driven within the AM Supply Chain for establishing planning strategies, make-to-stock/make-to-order strategies, delivering the required service level to customers given operational constraints, coordinate MRP settings across MRP controllers, types, groups, etc. to be consistent with stocking, planning strategies.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably with an emphasis in Business, Supply Chain or Operations or related field.
  • Experience with SAP required.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in manufacturing industry with experience in one or more of the following preferred: supply chain management, inventory control, logistics, production planning, project management, while working in matrix organization.
  • Knowledge and hands on experience with ERP systems specifically related to materials requirements planning, distribution planning, production planning, or inventory control.

The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

The candidate selected will have to qualify as either a U.S. citizen, a U.S. National, a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a Person Admitted into the U.S. as an Asylee or Refugee., a National of a country that is not prohibited from approval for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction.
