PURPOSE: The Global Corporate Travel Manager will be responsible for the strategy and execution of Lincoln Electric's global travel program. This role will drive the global service strategy while providing a positive travel experience at a competitive cost.

JOB DESCRIPTION (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES):

  • Develop & implement strategic policies and programs for Corporate Travel globally
  • Lead expansion of the travel program to new locations around the globe
  • Ensure global compliance in all aspects of travel procedures
  • Drive continuous improvement of the global travel programs while reducing costs
  • Oversee all travel arrangements (air, hotel, ground transportation, groups & meetings)
  • Manage relationships with vendors and travel management company
  • Negotiate contracts and/or rates with all travel service providers
  • Provide advice on travel documentation, insurance, etc.
  • Interact with various global leaders within the company regarding the travel program
  • Drive the implementation and success of all travel technology
  • Analyze travel spend data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement
  • Evaluate ongoing initiatives for continuous improvement of the global travel program
  • Collaborate with the expense reporting team to identify and implement synergies
  • Assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the Company's 2025 Strategy.

BASICS REQUIREMENTS:
  • Proven experience as a corporate travel manager (min 5 years' experience in the Global Business Travel Industry)
  • Strong knowledge of experience and service delivery, international challenges, technologies, best practices, new trends, processes & compliance
  • Minimum of 5 years experience handling complex projects with a variety of stakeholders and timelines
  • Experience managing direct reports
  • Strong communication & presentation skills (oral and written), with the ability to influence various levels of the organization and adjust style to fit audience
  • Excellent vendor negotiation skills
  • Detail oriented with an analytical mind and strong business acumen
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Concur, and GDS
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience
  • Training in a Travel & Tourism program is a plus
