What You Will Be Doing - Review construction plans and scopes of work to confirm all work is contracted and properly coordinated.
- Opening the jobsite at beginning of the day and securing the jobsite at the end of the day
- Complete and distribute daily reports and meeting minutes for each project that you are responsible for
- Daily inspection of construction site to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other applicable regulations.
- Create site logistics plan and coordinate staging area on jobsite
- Update the Project Manager on the progress of the schedule and notify them of any possible delays
- Interface with government agencies for inspections and obtain Certificate of Occupancies
- Develop, maintain and enhance close harmonious relationships with clients, architects, engineers, fellow employees, subcontractors, vendors and local building officials
- Perform a leadership role to keep the project safe, on schedule, and within the budget, as well as high quality
- Prepare daily work activities for inhouse labor and be willing to assist at times
- Be responsible for the job site safety by walking jobs multiple times a day and enforcing all job safety procedures
- Maintain and monitor project cleanliness and hold the subcontractors responsible for daily clean-up.
- Assist the Project Manager in the job closeout procedures and make sure the client is satisfied with all punchlists
- Confirm that occupied work areas are clean and safe for clients
What You Need for this Position - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or experience in the Construction field
- 5+ Years of experience of General Contractor experience with related project experience in Multi-family projects
- A Minimum of 3 years' supervisory experience as a Superintendent within Commercial Construction
- Advance knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods, construction scheduling, and engineering principles and techniques
- Knowledge of various design and construction means, methods and materials, their characteristics, and installation procedures.
- Proficient with Software Applications such as MS Office, MS Project, Primavera, Timberline, Viewpoint
