The camp Instructor will teach, assist, direct, and coordinate performances, exhibits, viewing, etc.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Theatre Acting/Dance Instructor - Teaches acting. Assists with the technical production of performance.

• Theatre Musical Director - Teaches voice, assists with technical production and operates as Musical Director for the production (piano and music reading skills required)

• Theatre Choreographer - Teaches dance, assists with technical production and operates as Choreographer for the production (dance experience required)

• Theatre Director - Directs musical. Coordinate rehearsals with camp staff. Designs set and work with production staff.

• Art Visual Arts Lead Instructor - Teaches studio art concepts and design using a variety of materials. Leads a team of instructors for camp M-F.

• Art Drawing/Painting Instructor - Teaches drawing and painting M-F. Assists other instructors/lead instructors in studio art projects for camp.

• Art Sculpture Instructor - Teaches sculpture M-F. Assists other instructors/lead instructors in studio art projects for camp.

• Art Photography Instructor - Teaches photography M-F. Assists other instructors/lead instructors in studio art projects for camp.

Film - Instructors that can balance creativity and management to guide campers through the basic steps of the entire filmmaking process.

• need a basic understanding of each step of the filming process

• administrative/management skills to organize their teams, various events, as well as teaching sessions

• relational skills to create a positive, Christian environment where the campers can have fun and grow.

• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to convey clear, well articulated information.

• Ability to understand, speak, and write English in order to convey messages and correspond in an articulate and professional manner.

• Strong organizational skills.

• Excellent computer skills.

Problem Solving

• Intuitively able to reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment in order to solve problems of both a routine and complex nature.

Physical and Sensory Abilities

• Regularly required to hear and speak in order to effectively communicate orally.

• Occasionally required to stand, walk, and climb stairs to move about the building.

• Handle materials, reach overhead, kneel or stoop in order to conduct business.

WORKING CONDITIONSWork Environment

The working environment in which one will typically perform the essential functions of this position is a climate-controlled office setting or theater. It is well lighted and the noise level is moderate.
