Internship Duties/Responsibilities:
Gain a general understanding of the various facets of milk accounting in the Northeast through hands-on experience.
Some of the processes that you will learn about include:
- Hauler manifest processing and balancing with haulers and customers
- Invoicing customers/plants
- Processing vendor invoices
- Preparing journal entries
- Farmer-owner payroll
- Regulatory reporting requirements
- Account reconciliations
- Expense reporting and analysis
- Financial statement preparation
- Budgeting
- Forecasting
- Milk hauling/transportation
You will also work with Membership, Sales & Marketing and Plant Accounting teams as time permits.
Requirements
The qualified candidate will be a senior in the fall of 2024 (completed junior year) with a degree focus in Accounting.
