SUMMARY

Paragon Professional Services, Inc., a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation, is currently seeking a qualified Subject Matter Expert I for the Department of State. The Department of State, Office of Logistics Management, Office of Program Management and Policy (A/LM/PMP) requires a support contractor to provide administrative, professional, and technical staffing services.
Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned.

The SME functions as the conduit for their knowledge area and applies their expertise to the project.

Provides senior-level subject matter expertise in program planning, design, technical assistance, and implementation.

Understands, articulates, and implements best practices related to their area of expertise.

Makes recommendations in their specialized field of study, as well as functional and technical expertise to lead simple to complex projects to deliver client solutions and/or manage operations of multiple projects.

Provides senior-level expertise and ability to complex project issues while exercising independent judgement.

Advises and assists senior leadership in the development of program strategies and implementation.
Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Ten (10) years of related experience.
  • Has broad and deep subject matter knowledge.
  • Expert ability to work effectively under pressure within short time constraints, and during times of rapidly developing events.
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to analyze complex requirements and recommend development of strategies.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills with all levels of management, personnel, contractors, and client agency representatives including program management, contracts, technical staff, and vendor and user community.
  • Advanced knowledge using Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Must be MS Office Suite proficient.
  • Must be a self-starter.
  • Must be organized.
  • Must have a Secret Clearance

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

The job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily in a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required.

  • No supervisory responsibilities.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS

As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.
