Basic Job Functions:
Attention to detail is needed to ensure that the material is going out with the quality that customers expect from Nucor. The operator will learn and be able to function & assist in multiple areas, this can include pipe inspection and repairs, weld attachments, cutting/burning, overhead cranes and manipulators. They will need good communication skills, ability to work with minimal supervision, able to prioritize tasks and be self-motivated at a high level to enable them to coordinate with other departments, such as the mill and outside welding to ensure that the product flows without unnecessary down time and bottlenecks.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Requirements:
• High School Diploma/GED or 1 year similar experience
