What you will be responsible for

  • Building and maintaining various process simulations for your plant and compressor stations.
  • Troubleshooting process problems in any of the systems at your plant and compressor stations.
  • Monitoring the performance of the plant and compressor stations.
  • Working with the operators and supervisors at assigned facilities to increase performance.
  • Providing technical support for the Process Safety Management of plant and compressor stations.
  • Understanding Helium Extraction and conditioning, and acid gas destruction.
  • Scoping, design, cost estimates, bidding, contractor selection, installation and management of small projects.
  • Understanding and capturing economic drivers critical to the evaluation of project justification.
  • Assisting other engineers with their projects as necessary and helping troubleshoot systems.
  • Participating in incident investigations, various kinds of meetings, training and commercial support.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Natural Gas Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Management, or related field.

  • 2 years of natural gas industry related experience, which must include some experience with: Developing process simulation models from scratch and manipulating models for process simulation packages using ProMax, HYSYS; Natural gas gathering and processing, including gas & NGL conditioning, pipeline condensate, treating, dehydration, compression, refrigeration, and cryogenic NGL recovery; Ensuring compliance with natural gas industry codes and regulations; Engineering design, Piping & Instrument Diagrams (P&ID's), Process Flow Diagram (PFD's), process control logic, and vendor drawings; Developing a conceptual piping and equipment layout for new projects, and producing hand drawn isometric sketches and accurate listing of material requirements, and submittal of detailed bid requests; Developing accurate cost estimates for Plant and Gathering System projects for every phase, including design, material procurement, transportation, labor, and equipment; Writing operating procedures, troubleshooting, training maintenance and operative staff where appropriate, and during commissioning and turnaround activities; and Performing hydraulic calculations, routine monitoring, inventory, and improvement of process systems.

Special Demands
  • This job primarily operates in a professional office environment and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines, etc. Noise level is typically low. Frequently in a stationary, sitting position for prolonged periods of time. Regularly moves about inside the office to complete tasks, attend meetings or to access the copy machine or file cabinets. Periodically pulls/pushes doors open to move around the office. Occasionally may lift and carry objects up to 20 pounds.

Salary Range

The salary range for this job is \$80,300.00 - \$132,500.00
