This role can be either onsite or hybrid.

ABOUT THE ROLE

REPAY is looking for a talented Staff Accountant to join our BillingTree Portfolio Accounting team as part of our Finance department. The perfect candidate is a detail-oriented, self-starter who can directly support the Assistant Controller and Accounting Manager with all aspects of the portfolio monthly close process, monthly / quarterly reporting, & data analytics. This individual should be able to effectively communicate with other functions within the company, as well as vendors and customer, and other third parties.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform the month-end close activities including journal entries, preparing account reconciliations, and preparing and analyzing financial statements and reports.

• Reconcile multiple bank accounts and settlements, on a timely basis.

• Maintain the detailed schedule of prepaids, accruals, and recording monthly expenses.

• Own and maintain revenue recognition schedules and customer collection efforts, on an ongoing basis.

• Maintain the detailed schedule of fixed assets and accumulated depreciation, including calculating and recording depreciation for all fixed assets.

• Participate in the automation and creation of new processes to improve financial efficiency.

• Special ad-hoc projects as requested by senior management upon request.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE NEEDED

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required

• Minimum one year of accounting and finance experience in an entrepreneurial, high growth, rapidly changing environment

• Experience with general ledger activities, account reconciliations, and the month-end/year-end close process

• Fundamental knowledge of GAAP

• Strong understanding of financial statements, as well as financial concepts

• Hands-on experience with accounting software packages

• Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables

• Fanatical focus on attention to detail and accuracy in dead-line driven environment

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Must be a self-starter and team player with ability to operate under moderate supervision

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

• Merchant Services / Payments Industry experience is a plus

• NetSuite experience a strong plus

• Salesforce experience a strong plus

• Actively pursuing CPA designation is a plus
