Beacon Hill Financial is working with a growing nonprofit with a great cause in Washington, DC to identify a Staff Accountant! The Staff Accountant will report directly to the Accounting Manager and will work with other members of the team in order to be a major asset to the accounting operations, and in assisting with the monthly close!

Job duties:

• Monitor all aspects of Accounts Payable and Receivable.
• Assist with the month-end closing procedures to including: reconciliations, complex journal entries, and more.
• Prepare all journal entries for approval, and data enter pre and post-closing journal entries.
• Monitor and suggest changes to the accounting policies and procedures.
• Create and provide various analysis and reports as needed.
• Assist in creating the annual budget and maintaining financial records, along with the General Ledger.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or Finance.
• Several years of experience working with AP and AR.
• Experience working in the nonprofit space.
• Experience with assisting in month-end close.
