Senior Technical Writer

Job Purpose:

Creates, develops, plans, writes, and edits operational, instructional, maintenance, or test procedures for paper, multimedia, or web-based publication. You will use engineering documents and conduct interviews with the product development teams to gather data for developing and maintaining the needed product documentation. You should be familiar with internationalization, document organization for re-use, and document maintenance processes that maximize efficiency. You must have experience with Adobe FrameMaker, and additional experience in developing documentation for electronic products and working with product development teams is preferred.

The Technical Writer may also assist with documentation control such as managing documentation in the Engineering database, searching and organizing BOMs, product compliance certifications, and related activities to support product development.

Nature of Duties:

• Working with product development teams to create technical documents that include user manuals, technical specifications, product photos, marketing materials, maintenance manuals and other product documentation as required.
• Maintaining documents and the product library
• Managing customer access to the document library using Sanmina document management system

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, directly related experience
• 5+ years as a technical writer in an electronics product development
  environment.
• Strong knowledge and recent experience using Adobe FrameMaker. Samples of work based on FrameMaker would be a plus.
• Strong skills in MS Office
• Exposure to Agile Engineering database is a plus

Salary - $66,500 - $95,000
