6+ years of relevant experience in related field and a BS or BA; or
4+ years of relevant experience and a MA/MBA/MS; or
2+ years of relevant experience and a MA/MBA.

Compile information from tools ranging from manual spreadsheets to Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems in order to deliver an accurate integrated schedule of activities occurring on production, maintenance and development assets
Understanding capacity planning / detailed scheduling processes, asset / resource management (scheduling time on assets / job plans / BOMs), schedule level loading in ERP systems (Maximo / Oracle preferred,SAP and other systems ok
Participate and/or lead scheduling forums as required, perform and support activities as listed in essential duties and job function requirements
Monitor and analyze data when scheduled activities are missed for root cause determination
Experienced with ERP Systems (Maximo and / or Oracle preferred), data analysis, KPI and metrics and corrective action planning. Analyzing material requirements for MRO, identifying gaps, driving action plans with business partners to enable accurate MRP
Ideal candidate has ERP systems experience, proficient in Microsoft applications including advanced Excel, Access, Project, Vision, etc
Has a maintenance, manufacturing or engineering background with understanding of P&IDs, utility systems and dependencies, manufacturing equipment and processes
Possesses strong intercommunication and customer service skills
APICS certifications, working knowledge of MAXIMO system, Oracle EBS and project team participation and/or leadership are a plus.
May lead a special project team within the unit/function.
May interact with external suppliers.
May serve as a team representative on cross-functional projects to support of more senior colleagues in the function.
This is an advanced position requiring significant expertise/specialization in area of work, and where incumbent is recognized as a knowledge resource within their area of expertise.
Works on complex issues where analysis requires an in-depth assessment, considering many variables, and potential consequences.
Exercises judgment within well defined and established procedures and practices to determine appropriate action with minimal supervision.
Develops solutions to moderately complex problems and conducts final reviews prior to approval by manager
Identifies areas of opportunity to modify processes to favorably impact the Supply Chain function.
Interfaces with external vendors/suppliers with the ability to challenge ideas and processes to ensure alignment with site process and procedures
Responsible for more complex review of data from multiple internal and external sources to keep pace with trends in the external market and needs within Gilead.
Works on problems of a diverse scope, where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of identifiable factors.
Exercises independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
Provides global business process, data flow, and documentation support. Develops and implements appropriate business documentation.
Provides supervision, technical support, training and guidance to less experienced colleagues. Plans daily tasks, prioritizes and schedules activities.
Contributes to the development of complex new concepts, techniques, and standards.
Work across organizational, cultural and geographic boundaries to optimize company strategic results.
Ensures GMP compliance and safe work practices, including current and correct SOPs.
Analyzes systems and processes and impact on business performance. Develops tools needed to support division Center of Excellence Service Teams action.
Introduces and integrates new technologies and/or new processes, as needed. Supports and develops inventory level tactics to support business goals.
May assist in the development of operational functional requirements and business process flow architecture of ERP functions and features, in support of site's existing and future business plans.
Assists with the preparation of project plans, and manages projects to successful and timely completion.
Supports the execution of supply chain planning initiatives to achieve departmental targets.
Reviews and approves non-routine documents, or documents affecting budgets or timelines, such as work orders, contracts, purchase orders, material transfer requests.
Uses approved methods to make decisions in line with company goals and objectives, e.g. transfer or delivery of inventory, production and purchasing schedules, selection of suppliers.
Possesses good planning and organizational skills coupled with strong communication, time management skills and aptitude for working with computer systems to plan and manage supply chain requirements.
Demonstrates an in depth understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards along with an in depth knowledge of industry practices.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills, strong analytical skills and problem-solving capability.
Up-to-date knowledge of business operating systems, production scheduling, Oracle/DB2/Access databases, and Excel, its uses and functions, and business needs and developments.
Able to develop solutions to a wide range of moderately complex problems, which require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation.
Proficient in ERP system software, with emphasis in the Operations / Supply Chain functionality.
Knowledgeable in cGMP operations functionality.
