Senior Software Tester

This role will help to create an automated testing infrastructure to support off machine testing of software. This role will also be heavily involved in manual hands on testing of machinery hardware and software

Who you are and the experience you bring:

• Manual and automated testing of OMAX systems and software
• Exploratory testing for bugs, potential problems, and performance issues to facilitate continuous product improvement
• Application of Root Cause Analysis to identify and reproduce issues
• Documenting test results in a clear, concise, and organized manner within the test management environment
• Test Help documentation for accuracy, completeness, and clarity; assist in writing, proofreading, and maintaining Help documentation
• Operate OMAX abrasive waterjet machines to verify and document results
• Occasionally assist with technical customer support

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

• 5+ years of experience testing and debugging software
• Proficient at writing test cases and plans
• Strong writing, thinking, and speaking capability in English
• Exceptional problem-solving skills
• Ability to create automation test scripts programmatically
• Scripting level coding ability in at least 1 language
• Knowledge and understanding of different types of testing (Regression, Sanity Pass, Language verification, etc.)
• Capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Self-motivated
• Comfortable working in Windows environment (Windows 7 and later)
• Desire to learn intricate details of complex software and hardware products
• Experience creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with C#
• Experience with Jira and Confluence
• Experience with machine tools and CAD/CAM
