POSITION OVERVIEW

As a software development leader in GN's R&D organization, you will apply your knowledge and experience to deliver innovative solutions that create abundant value for our customers.

To do this you will ensure the development team is able to work as efficiently as possible. Specifically, you will:

  • Lead one or more value streams as an RTE within our implantation of the SAFe framework.
  • Foster an agile culture of self-organization, collaboration, empowerment, and efficiency.
  • Partner with various stakeholders to drive a compelling software vision and portfolio of initiatives to achieve the vision through both short and long-term goals.
  • Work with our design controllers to ensure deliveries are in full regulatory compliance.
  • Focus on optimizing processes to increase output.

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS (Key Success Factors)
  • Interface with external stakeholders to socialize plans, deliverables, and timing expectations.
  • Facilitate ART Leadership and SAFe ceremonies to drive continuous improvement, predictability, and follow through on commitments.
  • Facilitate forecast and release planning to align user needs with available capacity.
  • Drive adoption of information radiators to ensure visibility to stakeholders.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in complex social networks.
  • Strong curiosity and skills to lead through technical, social, or process problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to think both strategically and tactically to create a holistic vision.
  • Deep understanding and experience of agile principles.
  • Extensive experience in software engineering, product development or technology portfolio planning.
  • Communication mastery to create compelling stories to engage and excite stakeholders about our future.
  • Experience leading in a Medical Device or other regulated industry.
  • BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area.

Other: The Hearing Healthcare industry provides you the grounds for creativity to help our end-users with innovative solutions. You will be working in a dynamic team environment developing advanced concepts within web, mobile platforms and proprietary applications. You will interface with end-users during the design process to directly influence User Center Designs. We are located in the Chicago suburbs, so work flexibility is afforded to performance. The R&D Center in Glenview represents a global marketplace; hence some travel is required and can include international travel.
