Our client, a professional association in Alexandria, VA, is in need of a Senior Public Relations Specialist to manage PR and media relations!

About You:

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• 6+ years of Public Relations experience required; prior agency or hill experience is preferred.
• Very strong writing and oral communications skills.
• Ability to work in a deadline driven environment.
• Strong detail orientation, time management, and organizational skills are required.
• Significant experience with media relations, or similar experience

The Job:

• Write and edit communications materials including press releases, media pitches, and social media
• Coordinate interviews and meetings with media contacts
• Assist with project management for communications teams
• Assist with daily and targeted media activities, while continuing to develop of a strong media presence
• Assist with the writing, editing and dissemination of lists and campaigns
• Complete other duties as assigned
