Basic Job Function:

Writes responses to Health Care customers' requests for proposals (RFPs) and requests for information (RFIs), assists the Proposal Manager in the overall development and production of winning sales proposals, and positions LexisNexis Risk Solutions and its affiliates as the preferred providers of data, technology and analytical and investigative research solutions.

Supports our Health Care sales organization and works with multiple functional areas such as pricing, legal, product, technical, security, and marketing (response team) to develop persuasive responses to customers' RFPs/RFIs and other proposal documents.

The position may be based from home or a corporate office.

Accountabilities:

1. Works with proposal response team to develop highly organized, persuasive responses for proposals that highlight solutions responsive to solicitation requirements

2. Assists in identifying win themes and discriminators that position the company as the preferred vendor

3. Meets proposal deadlines by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, reviews, approvals and signatures

4. Maintains a strong working knowledge of company products and services, business strategies, plans and competition

5. Composes clear, concise answers to customer inquiries or requests for clarification

6. Contributes to proposal database repository including frequently asked questions, templates and examples

7. Evaluates and recommends process improvements

8. Manages responses to security questionnaires, customer forms, and spending reports as needed

9. All other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in a related subject area preferred (e.g. communications, English, business, journalism)

2. 5-7 years related experience; minimum 3 years proposal writing experience

3. Effective writing, editing and business communication skills

4. Advanced MS Office suite skills

5. Strong project management skills

6. Attention to detail and follow-up skills essential

7. Excellent teaming skills

8. Ability to work under tight deadlines and produce high quality work

9. Previous experience with LexisNexis Risk Solutions and/or other LexisNexis or RELX companies is desired
