The Sr. Program Manager is responsible to drive the effective planning, execution, and completion of Information Technology (IT) projects. This role will also provide oversite to the IT project portfolio and work with the Director of IT to drive the improvement of its overall health. Additionally, the Sr. IT Program Manager will work with the PMO team to develop and improve corporate project management methodologies, processes, and tools.

  • Drives Engagement - Create an environment which encourages collaboration and open communication amongst the team as well as drives individual engagement and ownership.
  • Directs Work - Lead teams through the planning, execution, and ultimately the successful completion of critical IT software development and deployment projects.

Key Accountabilities
  • Project/Program Delivery Management • Develop project benefits, goals, scope, schedule, and cost plans. Execute and lead team meetings. Ensure stakeholders are engaged. Manage communications up, down, and across the organization.
  • Governance and Performance Management • Work with executives, project sponsors, and IT and PMO leadership to ensure risks are understood and controlled and issues are appropriately escalated and resolved.
  • Portfolio Management• Develop and maintain portfolio reporting. Support project prioritization, resource management, and alignment to strategy.
  • Organizational Change Management - Ensure the success of project implementation by driving proper change management integration into the project plan and execution.
  • Talent Management - Support the development of program managers and the development of world-class project management capabilities within Rehrig Pacific.
  • Knowledge Management - Establish methodology and environments for sharing knowledge through retrospectives and lessons learned.
  • Administration and Support - Build and maintain healthy cross functional relationships with project team members and Rehrig leadership.
  • Standards, Methodologies, and Processes - Develop tools, processes, and capabilities.
  • Strategic Planning - Support the PMO strategic plan.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
  • Bachelor•s degree in business or technology preferred.
  • PMP or equivalent certification.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with PPM software and project management tools: Jira preferred.
  • Seven years of IT program and/or project management experience.
  • Fluent understanding and demonstrated knowledge of both waterfall and Agile project management methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and facilitate cross functional project teams to overcome challenges and achieve success.
  • Proven team leadership capabilities working collaboratively both vertically and horizontally throughout an organization.
  • Demonstrated mastery in the application of project management tools and techniques including risk management, resource planning, and conflict resolution.
  • Experience with designing, improving, and implementing corporate project management processes.
  • Approximately 10% travel required,
