Responsibilities

The Senior Nursing Director - Maternal Child Health at Reading Hospital is responsible for leading the staff that deliver safe patient care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Plans, directs, coordinates, and evaluates the overall clinical nursing practice and administrative activities, including fiscal, material, and human resource management. Participates in the development and implementation of hospital policies and procedures. Maintains open communication with all staff and physicians to promote performance improvement and consistency of care across the continuum.

Senior director for 6 departments within Maternal Child Health: NICU, Pediatrics, OB Triage, Labor and Delivery, Special Care and Motherbaby.

Must have leadership experience within NICU and Peds or LDR.

Position reports directly to the Chief Nursing Officer.

Qualifications

Education Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Nursing
Experience
  • 5+ years of leadership experience within Maternal Child Health
Certification and Licensure
  • ANCC - either Clinical Specialty or Administrative Certification
  • PA Registered Nurse License
