Position:

As Intuitive grows, we’re adding a Senior Group Manager, Content to our Brand and Creative team. Our multi-disciplinary team oversees brand strategy, design, multimedia production, content, social media, digital marketing, and project management.

The Senior Group Manager plays a central role in developing and guiding the vision of our content strategy, seeking new ways of engaging with our audiences across multiple channels, and leading and mentoring a team of internal and external content creators.

The Senior Group Manager oversees development of a range of content types—from web and digital deliverables, and product launch and clinical campaign assets to event messaging, presentations, and email marketing initiatives. You’ll work closely with colleagues in Brand and Creative—and with marketing stakeholders globally--to help drive messaging quality and consistency cross-functionally. The ability to lead and inspire creative personnel and content creators is the key to success. We’re looking to build a team known for delivering content excellence. The team understand strategy, can turn positioning and concepts into compelling copy, and navigate complex review processes with flexibility – all without losing site of the audience and the message. True of all management roles at Intuitive, the Senior Group Manager is both a player and coach.

Job Description:

  • Head the content team, supervising and mentoring copywriters, clinical editors, web content professionals, copy editors, and contract/freelance team members.
  • Drive content effectiveness by identifying trends, determining common attributes of successful campaign elements, and educating direct reports, colleagues and/or leaders how to use strategy to improve engagement.
  • Execute content marketing strategies that ensure the best content mix is produced for the use case—from sales conversations with surgeons to web interactions with patients.
  • Involved in and informed about global corporate messaging and brand and editorial guidelines to ensure consistency and continuity of messaging.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with Director Brand and Creative, Director Web Product, and Chief Editor to drive brand message discipline and content effectiveness.
  • Ideate creative concepts and campaigns through the lens of the brand into high-impact content.
  • Oversee digital content strategy, working with web product management, to drive ideation, curation, creation, and publishing.
  • Review, dissect, digest, question, and revise draft content and creative concepts with skill, flexibility and high emotional IQ.
  • Facilitate strategic content plans, creative conversations and work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to develop and refine pitches for relevant content.
  • Negotiate relationships with the ability to influence internal alignment and expectations.
  • Leverage extensive people and project management experience to manage and balance content workflow as well as creative and professional development of your team.

Skills/Job Requirements:

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Public Relations, or related communications field.
  • Minimum 10+ years’ experience in multichannel content creation, 5 years leading this work.
  • Exceptional communicator, verbally and visually.
  • Captivating writer and editor with demonstrated ability to advance brand.
  • The ability to lead and inspire teams of creative personnel and content creators.
  • Skill at both long-form content creation and real-time (immediate) content creation and distribution strategies and tactics
  • The ability to think like an educator, intuitively understanding what the audience needs to know and how they want to consume it.
  • Clear articulation of the business goal behind the creation of a piece (or series) of content.
  • Leadership to define and manage a set of goals involving diverse contributors and content types.
  • Project management skills to manage editorial schedules and deadlines within corporate and ongoing campaign/event activations.
