Responsibilities

How Will You Contribute to the Company?

You will lead all global sourcing and procurement responsibilities with a focus on developing, driving, and executing effective sourcing strategies, data-driven supplier selection processes, implementation of an end-to-end automated solution, identifying supply chain-related risks, and providing recommendations on mitigation, implementing compliance strategies, and collaboration with business partners supporting cost reduction activities.

What Will You Do?

We will look to you to ensure that the Global Sourcing and Procurement strategy is aligned with our Business and Operations strategic objectives. More specifically, this includes:

Example:

  • Define overall sourcing and procurement strategic direction for planning, organizing, leading, measuring, and analyzing the sourcing of direct and indirect materials globally.
  • Continuous review and analysis of the strategy as required to accommodate changes in market dynamics. Help formulate strategy, recommend & implement solutions and adjust according to demands
  • Formulate and implement fundamental sourcing and procurement policies and procedures across spending categories, including third-party management, privacy, risk, and compliance
  • Develop and hold training sessions with employees to ensure adherence to the policies and procedures
  • Lead selection and implementation of sourcing, procure to pay solution to enable a complete process to provide visibility of spend and better controls of the sourcing and procurement process.
  • Create and implement clear roles and responsibilities between contract reviews, sourcing, and procurement functions
  • Develop and implement key strategic programs and projects to align with the needs of the business
  • Contributes to the planning, development, communication, and implementation of Cradlepoint's Sourcing and Procurement activities working closely with planning and purchasing teams
  • Plans, develops, and implements business plans and budgets, including long-range objectives, performance goals, and metrics for each category by collaborating with Operations, Legal, Supply Chain, and other teams as needed to champion cross-functional sourcing initiatives
  • Collaborate and contribute cross-functionally to develop and recommend sourcing solutions, limiting risk, adhering to compliance policies, and ensuring continuity and go-to-market timelines are met
  • Directly manages complex negotiations with suppliers that require a detailed strategic plan and have a direct correlation with operational needs goals
  • Ensure relationship development and management with key suppliers
  • Provides continuous leadership, oversight of work quality, and constructive feedback to the distributed team
  • Manage and improve sourcing processes/performance through an effective Management Operating System to drive change and procurement transformation
Qualifications
  • 10-12 years of managerial experience, global
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Great relationship manager with vendors, customers and cross-functional business leads
  • Proven experience managing complex partnerships and projects
  • Strategic thinker around sourcing and procurement
  • Subject matter expert on sourcing and procurement processes
  • Strong change management skills
  • Process improvement oriented
  • Cost efficiency and savings driven
  • Contract review and terms and condition experience
  • Multinational and entity experience
  • Leadership experience coaching and mentoring a large team
