Project Description:

• As we continue to grow, Client is transforming our Geek Squad Instore Services products.
• As our Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for architecting and implementing the next generation of Geek Squad applications.
• You will be using Cloud Native technologies, Devops principles and Agile practices to deliver industry leading solutions at high velocity and unrivaled quality.
• The Staff Software Engineer will be part of the Geek Squad Services Technology Team that is responsible for building React components, microservices, and React components that provide the best digital experience for our employees.

Position Summary/Job Description:

• Develop front end components and libraries in JavaScript leveraging frameworks like React, Redux, Node JS and so on. 
• Develop, test and maintain microservices and REST APIs in Java leveraging technologies like Spring and/or dotnet core.
• Drive architecture and design sessions to build out new applications and services and make existing systems better as they evolve.
• Write meaningful test cases to test the application at various level including unit test, functional test, performance test, regression test and load test – leveraging tools and technologies like JUnit, Spock, Cucumber, Selenium, JMeter and so on.
• Work closely with test engineers to help build test automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
• Help and mentor other engineers on the team in a technical capacity.

Skills Overview:
What are the top five skills and number of years of experience required to perform this job?

• 3 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree OR equivalent relevant professional experience
• 5 years of relevant experience architecting and building UI components and libraries using React, Redux and Node JS
• 5 years of relevant experience architecting and building microservices/API’s using Java and/or dot net core
• 2+ years of experience implementing distributed computing systems / cloud platforms

What are some preferred/nice to have skills the manager is looking for?

• 4+ years of experience working in an agile and continuous delivery environment
• Experience using GraphQL
• Experience in modern architecture practices include microservices architecture, event – driven architecture, etc.,
