Job Description

This position develops and implements the company's communications strategies and processes to drive engagement with external and internal stakeholders for the company's Quest For Health Equity (Q4HE initiative to address and reduce health disparities in underserved communities, including those impacted by COVID-19. The position is part of the Corporate Communications team, reporting to the Executive. Director, External Communications and working closely with the Q4HE team as a dedicated business partner. He/she will work with key Q4HE contacts to develop and implement communications strategies relative to major Q4HE initiatives.

  • Manages development of proactive communication plans and campaigns to drive awareness of and engagement with Q4HE initiatives.
  • Reports to Exec. Director, External Communications and serves on the Q4HE core team, working with Q4HE colleagues to craft communications strategies, plans and consistent messaging targeted to relevant audiences with the appropriate context and tone.
  • Builds partnerships with key internal stakeholders, chief among them the Q4HE VP/GM, providing both strategic counsel and writing/editing support to all areas of the function.
  • Partners with colleagues in Corporate Communications and manages key vendors to design and deliver integrated communication campaigns that support engagement and enhance the reputation of the company.
  • Conceives, produces and edits content for companywide and external channels as a regular contributor to our Quest magazine, ourQuestonline.com (company intranet) and other employee communications vehicles. Also prepares press releases and social media content in consultation with Corp. Comms colleagues.

Education Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree in liberal arts, business, communications, media
Work Experience:
  • At least 5 years of corporate or agency experience planning and executing communications programs. Experience working with communication agencies. Experience in corporate social responsibility preferred but not required
Physical and Mental Requirements:
  • Agile, resilient
Other:
  • Excellent MS Office Skills, especially PowerPoint, exceptional written and verbal communications, working knowledge of social media platforms, effective interpersonal skills
