Description:

  • This contractor position will serve the Finance Controllership, FP3 - Finance Programs, Projects, and Products Team, supporting strategic projects impacting Finance in the Community & State and Medicare & Retirement governmental business segments.
  • This role serves as a liaison between the Finance business and technical teams, requiring strong analysis, documentation, and communication skills, which are critical to meeting customer expectations and project success.
  • The candidate will work closely with Capability Managers/Analysts and Finance business partners to learn the financial systems & data process flows along with the scope of current in-flight projects requiring support.
  • They will primarily support all phases of project User Acceptance Testing including test case development & documentation, testing validation, defect reporting & resolution, and test status reporting.
  • With experience, the candidate may be required to provide subject matter expertise for financial applications, input into project solutions, and collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements through features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Responsibilities include:
  • Collaborate with business partners to develop test requirements, documentation of test scripts/scenarios and test timelines.
  • Ability to internalize, interpret and document complex scenarios clearly and concisely.
  • Execute and track test scripts/cases and log defects, as necessary.
  • Lead and facilitate the coordination of user acceptance testing efforts and defect resolution.
  • Provide test status updates as required by program directives.
  • Demonstrates critical thinking and intellectual curiosity with the ability to resolve issues/questions.
  • Demonstrates excellent written and oral communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong time management, prioritization, and organization skills.
  • Support Capability Manager/Analyst, Product Owner for AGILE methodologies using RALLY.
  • Able to work independently, as well as collaborate with various teams throughout
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Finance, Health Administration, or related field
  • 2+ years experience in Finance, Accounting, Project Management, or IT related field
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with PC based software programs such as Microsoft Project, Visio, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
Assets:
  • Previous Healthcare / Insurance Industry experience
  • Knowledge of Provider Reimbursement Models (Fee for Service & Capitation)
  • Knowledge of relational databases and data storage structures
  • Working knowledge of data mining/reporting tools such as MS Access, SAS/SAS Enterprise Guide, Teradata and/or SQL Tools for executing data queries of financial test data
  • Strong knowledge and experience with user acceptance testing processes
  • Previous experience with AGILE product delivery methodology and use of the RALLY tool
Team and Team size:
  • Team Environment: Works closely and in partnership with Finance business accountants/analysts, multiple Capability/Project Managers across different functional areas and IT Professionals and Product Owners across multiple Agile Scrum Teams
