Job Summary/Responsibilities:

The Sales Executive is responsible for assisting the Business Manager with meeting the revenue goals of Spinnaker Media and for all matters related to advertising and revenue derived from the display, classified and online advertisements. This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. The employee may be asked to perform other related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of Spinnaker. Employees must meet the responsibilities and qualifications of the position consistent with a minimum of 15 hours of competent effort each week. The Sales Executive will: - Generate new sales leads - Promote Spinnaker's various advertising products and services to new and existing clients- Track the progress and completion of sales from introduction to payment for publication and provide clients with proof of performances- Address clients' and staffers' inquiries and concerns- Track advertising, sponsorship, and creative services revenue to ensure all media outlets' continued financial solvency and stability- Familiarize themselves with Spinnaker Media advertising policies, including ad dimensions, deadlines, and discounts.- Monitor trends in the broader media business and advertising industries

Required Qualifications:

The position requires strong customer service and communication skills and a good understanding of media business practices.

Applicants must be available during business hours and have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Must be continuously enrolled at UNF for the duration of the position and not be on academic probation or suspension as defined by the most recent University of North Florida course catalog.

Preferred Qualifications:

Sales experience is preferred but not required for the position.
