The Specialist, Supply Chain Management maintains adequate inventory levels within defined portions of Brother USA's diverse Office and Home Products Portfolio to satisfy channel, eCommerce, subsidiary, dealer, and customer demand. This role oversees purchasing inventory amounts to the appropriate warehouse locations and ensures that the inventory arrives on time and delivers to customers in the most cost-efficient manner. This position provides efficiency throughout the supply chain process by prioritizing transportation and delivery. This role problem solves issues within the supply chain, establishing reorder quantities for materials, and considers supply lead-time, manufacturing constraints, vendor constraints, and transportation constraints, all while using their vast knowledge of supply chain operations. This role looks to continuously improve the efficiency of supply chain operations through data collection and analysis. skills.

Inventory Planning & Management

  • Forecast, purchase and maintain accurate inventory levels within different warehouse plants within the Brother supply chain to satisfy channel, eCommerce, subsidiary, dealer, and customer demand
  • Collaborate with manufacturing plants and other functional stakeholders to match inventory with customer demand
  • Problem solve, transfer and re-route shipments within the distribution network to achieve inventory balance
  • Identify possible future capacity constraints and bottlenecks in the supply chain
  • Provide feedback & input into S&OP for forecasting, planning, order management, and manufacturing processes

Data Analysis & Maintenance

  • Enhance supply chain efficiency by analyzing data, reporting and managing KPI's
  • Analyze usage patterns and make recommendations for appropriate stocking levels based on consumption, lead times, seasonality, etc.
  • Create and present monthly reporting with robust analytics, communicate results and recommendations to management
  • Maintain, update, and create various data within SAP, including but not limited to material master data, purchase order date, and monthly price lists

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain or related field
  • Minimum 5 years Inventory Management, Procurement, Demand Planning
  • Advanced skills in Data Analysis and Forecasting tools (Excel, SAP, Tableau, etc.) and the ability to develop actionable insights from data
  • Inventory management skills and a strong understanding of S&OP processes
  • APICS or ISM certification such as CSCP, CPIM, and or CPSM is preferred
