We are always looking for talented individuals interested in the design, build, test and operation of Umbra spacecraft to join the Space Systems team. Entry level engineers can expect a dynamic work environment that requires collaboration across functional teams, and an opportunity to learn from extremely knowledgeable and experienced staff while building their skills as engineers. Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant STEM field (such as aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, software engineering, digital design, physics, mathematics, or computer science)
  • Comfortable with ascripting language such as MATLAB or Python
  • Strong desire to work in a dynamic and fast-paced development environment
  • Excellent communications skills, ability and desire to work collaboratively in a team environment, and willingness to learn new skills and technology
  • Willing to occasionally support odd hours around launches or testing, such as overnights and/or weekends

Desired Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field
  • Experience working on spacecraft, launch vehicles, robotics, or components intended for these applications
  • Knowledge of advanced tools relevant to your field (Solidworks, Altium, STK, GMAT, etc)
  • Experience utilizing collaboration software such as Confluence or Jira
  • Experience with design for manufacturing processes
  • Experience utilizing cloud based software
  • Familiarity with Earth observation techniques
  • Ability to obtain and hold a U.S. security clearance
