JOB DESCRIPTION

The Regional Sales Manager's primary function is to lead and manage a team of sales representatives to market and sell GPR scanning, X-ray, and concrete cutting and demolition services. The Regional Sales Manager will also be responsible for his/her own assigned accounts and new business growth.

This position requires leadership, coaching, directing, and training sales professionals in their respective assignments to succeed at maintaining current accounts and developing new business to enhance revenue, profitability and brand awareness.

The Regional Sales Manager must be well-versed in construction methodologies and procedures and able to coordinate a team to achieve the best results. The Regional Sales Manager will work with the operation and sales team to build and nourish relationships with customers, enhancing customer satisfaction while delivering measurable results benefitting the business.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Hire, train, and develop new Outside Sales Representatives (OSR's).
  • Set revenue and margin goals for OSR's and performance manage.
  • Develop and identify prospects from existing clients, referrals and other sources
  • Establish and maintain frequent contact with clients, growing current customer base and developing new customers
  • Present or arrange presentations for new clients
  • Prepare estimates and quotes
  • Communicate regularly with branch and area management anticipated resource demands (manpower, equipment, and materials)
  • Build reports to communicate progress on bid submittals, proposals, and sales activities to management
  • Correspond with clients and vendors in coordinating new and ongoing projects
  • Complete and submit proposals, bid packets, RFIs and change order

TRAVEL: 75%

Job Requirements
NECESSARY EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, LICENSURE AND/OR CERTIFICATION:
  • MUST HAVE BOOK OF BUSINESS IN CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY
  • 10-plus years experience in construction / industrial related business
  • 5-plus years sales experience
  • 2-plus years estimating experience (preferred)
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Position is highly visible to potential customers and requires the ability to influence/persuade. Must understand the sales process and be able to close sales
  • Four year business or technical degree or equivalent combination of education and experience to have a good working knowledge of and language used in relevant market, including in-depth understanding of the interdependence and relationship between other functional units required
  • Must possess excellent communication (verbal and written) skills
  • Computer/Office Machines - Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • English - proficient in business writing and verbal communication
  • Ability to pass pre-employment and random screening for illegal substances
